PSA: Android privacy, Firewalls, Spyware


For anyone using Android that might be interested in blocking the OS and random apps from spying and phoning home, I highly recommend NetGuard, available from the F-Droid repo.

The neat part about it is that it doesn't require to have a rooted phone (as some other Android firewalls do), but rather it resorts to using the VPN feature.

I haven't, it's been a while since I browsed the F-Droid catalogue. I'll check them out, thanks for the suggestion!
