You're right to make an article about it. It does indeed deserve a "case study" approach.

@jec I really think itโ€™s because they brought cultural assumptions from birdsite on how to act, and didnโ€™t realise that the culture here works very differently and that sort of behaviour wonโ€™t be tolerated by the admins

The original post was tone deaf and the response to the criticism was childish.

But the whole #fediblock pile-on thing, and suggestions of not buying Raspberry Pi's are just as bad.

If any admin is that worried or truly offended - it's their server so go on and de-federate them. But it will be an extreme minority that actually do.
