For any NTs wondering how autistic people hear stuff when their characteristics include a heightened experience of the sense of hearing: think of one of those AMSR (is that the spelling?) videos. In my case a lower-volume version of those, but I can imagine other people hearing stuff louder.

Also it seems a lot people find those videos soothing? Me personally, they make me nervous and anxious.

ASMR is too much for me, so creepy. Never thought that might actually be due to auditory issues.

I have the weirdest time when I look at those "this is what is like to be autistic" things. I mean, I don't see a difference? Maybe because I've never been allistic and can't compare? I would love to see a video about what it's like to be allistic, from a ND perspective.
Oh AMSR is not really about demoing sensory differences. People seem to regard those as soothing/help sleep "sounds of the sea" type-stuff. tbh I personally think it's just a fetish but... I'll probably get in trouble for saying that out loud.
