"It's hilarious but also a bit disturbing how common it is for men who come into the public library I work at to pick up books that their wives or daughters put on hold to loudly and angrily boast about how they "haven't been to a fucking library in my life" and "don't understand how anything works around here because I never go to libraries, that's my wife's thing" as if they think I'd otherwise be judging their masculinity for being there." - from a librarian comrade
